'Vessels’, which explores the connection between inner worlds…memories, emotions, and feelings, and the physical forms that hold them. I’ve been thinking about vessels as both real objects and metaphors for how we contain and carry what’s inside us. In these paintings, I’m trying to bring together that tension between holding on and letting go. Working on a larger scale has allowed me to paint more freely and physically, using big, expressive marks to capture emotion.
